K, I think I've hit total burnout on this blogging thing

I'm done C'ya

I'm a lying son of a B too.
I'm a pup in the blogosphere, I've blogged for a bit over year or so.
Quite a few folks listed on the BAR blog roll have dropped out due to burn out.
They wrote well and eloquently. They worked very hard at it.
I agree with most everything they wrote, but we are in an echo chamber here.
I expect nothing that I write to change the course of events in this country.
My hope is to encourage like minded folks that you are not alone, and I find the same encouragement from reading your blogs.
In spite of what you might think, what you blog does make a difference.

  1. I blog when I get a chance, which used to be more often, but now I spend more time building than writing.
I blog for me. I blog because I like having an outlet. It's also a nice venue to meet other folks, such as you and your wife.
It's easy to get burned out when you think you owe something, or that you *have* to do it. Keep it light hearted, and try to enjoy it, I say.

  2. Stay the course. I have met so many here that I would not have. I am a better person for it. ME? Trying to be all that and a bag of chips on Firearms? Here? What was I thinking?

I enjoy your Blog. I would miss it. Greatly.

If it is no longer fun, stop. I agree with that. I would miss y'all though. At least let me send you a phone number in case I get there or you get here.

  3. Just keep commenting, at least. I need my ego fix, every once in a while, and comments are that fix.

Oh, and I have never tried to make a difference, really. It's more of an outlet to catalog weird youtube videos or complain about something without freaking out the family...

Best definition of why you should blog. Ever.

  4. You had me going for a minute. I started blogging because I was angry. I guess it was therapeutic. I'm less angry now and I know I can't change things. Let the big boys work on that.

If someone gets something from what I post, then I'm happy. You have certainly been an encouragement to me. Lets not ruin a good thing. ;)

  5. Pardon for any alarm. At least Coolchange caught my "lying son of B" line. I don't work at this blogging thing anywhere hard enough to have burned out already.
I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. This post was a sort of plea to some of my favorite bloggers out there that hung it up.
Nice to know ya'll enjoy my random ramblings on the BAR blog though.

  6. You never know who is lurking - a lot more people view than post. One thing said one time might start a process of change that you will never know about.
