Weekend of September 15 if I am not mistaken.
Belle and I were just recounting stories to one another about D.A.B. 1.0
To paraphrase:
Belle: "I aimed low while shooting TRE's garagineered .50 cal. I wanted to see a big splash in the river.
kx59: yeah, the entry wound in the mud was dinner plate size. Somewhere on the other side of the planet, a china-man jumped and said WTF? ( in chinese of course)
Okay, this made me laugh for a few minutes, thanks to the visual.

By the way, I guess I should have told you that the .50 is set up for ~500 yards, since that was the medium distance it used to get shot at.
Believe it or not, there wasn't a whole lot of adjustment needed when I shot it at 1k+ yards.
Hopefully, since my club has a 300 yard range, you'll get a better idea of it's accuracy.
I'm still working on my schedule to get cleared for attending- I'm at a 85% confidence level for attendance.
ReplyDeleteI had two events the following weekend that would have required my attention on the 15th/16th for prep-setup...
One has been taken off my plate (3-Gun in Glengary WV - Rats!) but the other one (3x3 Basketball on Miami Beach) is still looming out there.
Borepatch wants to carpool out to the DAB, but my travel is still up in the air.
So... What's your plan for heading up to the Shindig?
