watching the republicrat kabuki theater debate

Perry is toast.
Talked about Texas too much.
Can't stay on topic, keeps going back to getting people back to work when asked about health care.
lot's of blah blah blah from all the candidates, hearty fake laugh when queued.
lord I'm jaded on all this. Heard it all before.

  2. Just as well.

I like Perry okay, but I don't really want him in Washington. I want him here in Texas telling Washington to stick it up their ass.

I'm gravitating--strongly--back towards Herman Cain. I don't like his opinion that the Second Amendment is a state's right issue, but as I blogged earlier today, he can appoint the folks who know better.

We need a friggin BUSINESS GUY in the Oval Office. We need a guy who GREW UP POOR AND MADE IT ON HIS OWN.

His lack of political experience is a plus for me.

Hell, look at what all these "experienced" political a-holes have done to the country.

  3. This is a pretty spectacular flameout he's had in the last month.

Not ready for Prime Time, it seems.

  4. No, he's not ready for prime time. He's not a quick thinker. And, as I've posted before, he's not had serious contenders for the TX governor's office. From a state constitutional standpoint, the governor's office is weak here. I've seen pro Perry journalists's wax lyrical about how he's created real political power in the guv's office, but good lord, he's had what...12 years to do it?
Governor Good Hair is not a man of nimble mind.
The thing that really saved our assed down here in the Lone Star State is a Repulican controlled legislature.
Perry's been rode hard and put up wet.
Come on home Rick. You're done.

  5. After hearing Christie endorse Romney the other day, I had a wonderful little scenario play out in my head. Paul, Bachman, Santorum, and Perry each bowed out of the race and threw their support to Cain.... who then rolled over Romney like a freight train in the primary.

I don't think it will happen that way, of course, but it was nice to think about.
