I AM pissed off............
I was a stay at home mom for years because my husband and I, together made the decision that that's where I was needed the most while raising the kids.
So now, the federal government has decided that stay at home moms are somehow second class citizens. I wonder why that is? Maybe they want more folks in the workforce to raise revenues? Who knows.
What I do know is that while I was at home, I was able to build my credit and my credit score was in the high 700's. What they are managing to do is possibly keep women who end up suddenly single, either by divorce or by becoming a widow, unable to care for themselves.
Without credit, you can't buy a house, rent an apartment, buy a car, etc. etc. etc.
The irony is that the party who is the darling of N.O.W. and other women's rights groups, is managing to turn back time to where women were kept barefoot and pregnant.
The fact of the matter is that NOW and other women's rights groups despise women who choose to raise their kids rather than cart them off to daycare and work outside the home.
Yes, I'm completely pissed off and I smell a rat.
Women's rights aside, who the hell do the feds think they are telling credit card companies who they can and cannot issue cards to? I call bullshit........ utter stinking bullshit.

Interesting that the Democrats who drafted this seem to no t think that women who stay at home with the kids are worth legal protections.
